These colorizations date to a much earlier period in my evolution as an artist, so bear in mind they don't necessarily match what you will see from me in 2025 and onwards--however it was my first big commission.

For this project I took a selection of about 8 photographs that were taken by the city of St. Louis ahead of a major street widening project on Delmar (then Morgan St) and colored them. The photographs represent the blocks that surround the home where Scott Joplin briefly lived while in St. Louis, today the site of the Scott Joplin House State Historic Site museum.

How the site eventually sought to use them, I can no longer recall however I believe their plans were setback significantly by a very damaging break in a few years back. Still, it was one of the most challenging and intensive projects undertaken at the time.
